BAM first experience

Can't say it would work very well in these parts for about 9 months of the year! Lol

A insulated lunch bag with a hand warmer or 2 in it should do the trick mike. Just a thought

Thanks for the info. I read before that It's a good practice to keep all drugs warm when darting in the winter. A dart with near freezing meds going into the muscle of a 101 degree animal can be quite a sting to the animal.

From now on I am only buying winter deer when I can shoot out the window of the truck. Ha , I wish

A small Thermos or Insulated Coffee Cup filled with HOT water..........We use it like this with Telazol mix put into the Dart and placed in the small soup thermos prior to Darting. We use this anytime we dart deer to handle them.

Has never failed for us, I would think it would work well with any Tranq Med ?

Thanks for the follow up on your experience.  Sounds like you were treated extremely well from a customer service standpoint.  That and the fact that BAM work so much better than anything we've used in the past are both reasons why even the strongest naysayers should at least give it a try.  I'm not trying to push it on anyone, but it's kinda comical with so many experienced deer farmers having such incredible success with Bam... that there are still folks that can't help but chime in and give their .02 cents.  It's fine if you don't wanna try it, but why feel the need to comment on something that you don't even use?  It's like the anti's putting down high fence when they haven't even been to a high fence operation.

And excellent point Matt!!!  It's not just BAM that you have to worry about freezing when darting/medicating.  Hopefully the people in extreme temps up north are taking precautions to ensure proper delivery of all their meds so that it's not so traumatic to the deer.

I had my first kit shipped to me when we had -10° temperatures. The solution had separated and had white floaters in the bottle. I called zoo farm and they told me exactly what you just heard. I took the bottle and hold it over a hair dry and shook it around until the white floaters disappeared and mixed back in with the solution. I used the Bam and it worked perfectly. Just something to look out for in the future

It sure has been cold up our way... Compounded Xylazine and MK do the same thing. It is one of the things you just have to look for. You would have great luck with BAM at your place.

I most likely will give it a shot after i use up what i have but i have to say that i have never had a bad experience or had a rough recovery using the cocktail. Maybe real tame deer make a difference? Not sure but if BAM is better for them but if it is as far as body temp regulating then i am in.

Mike, we switched after many years of telazol/xylazine.  We were skeptical but once we used it we won't go back.  We love the fact that they are up in a matter of minutes and not drowsy or groggy.  In like 5 minutes you would never know they were tranquilized!
