Biggest Big Guy Son?

I was at Cole and Barkeys farm yesterday and took some pictures of a HUGE Big Guy Son 2 year old out of Hoss's mother!! I don't know if there are any out there bigger but he was scored at 321 5/8 unofficial with a twin brother that scored 200+ typical. Little Orange 23 (Hoss's mother) has did it again for barkley and cole. She has never had a son under 200 inches. She now has 9 son that have reached 3 years old or older. Three of them with 30 inch inside spreads. Most were 220 + @ 2. Her three year old to date is breeding at coles place. He is a beautiful 5x6 typical out of WILDMAN with a few extras scoring 250. He has a 25 + inch inside spread with long beams and the look. Her two year old big guy son is possibly the biggest big guy son on the ground anywhere.

That's a BIG S.O.B.!!!! Unreal. Any semen? I think I just came up with a good name. Big guy son named big sob. I'll take a free straw. Congrats on a huge deer

Cole brought the horns up today and all I can say is WOW! He's and unreal 2 year old and I think the biggest Big Guy 2 year old out there. I kinda like Big S.O.B myself... good call Richie.

Little Orange 23 does it again, not to mention the 3 sons over 30 inches inside... that's a feat all it's own. I'm not sure if there's another doe out there that can lay claim to that achievement.

Congrats guys!

I just love this deer. Unreal!! I'm calling him Big S.O.B. I don't care if they name him that or not. That's his name to me. I'd love to breed him to my does. Congrats

Cole and Barkley your Big Guy photos are just amazing. Please tell me you are going to sell a few straws this year? Your bucks just keep producing massive frames and width. Your building a new line that that hunting ranches will greatly value.

Thanks for staying focused on end user,

Scott

Thanks for the post Kurt !!

I agree Scott. Let's not forget the breeder market for this line. This line is an incredible outcross for probably 95% of the deer farmers out there. What more could you ask for from an outcross? Huge frames, some of the most consistent width in the entire industry, and virtually untapped! Well, I might have a little in my herd, but you get the point.

I want some!! I need it in my herd. Keep it a secret. Just let me have some and nobody else

Mike your right, little orange 23 is a doe that anyone should love to put into their herd. Attached is her son out wildman (Bossman). What a beautiful buck!!! Then you have HOSS at 327. She has produced bucks with over 31 inch main beams, 12 inch mass measurements, 30 inch spreads and sons 16+ inch tines. She can do it all, no matter what you breed her to she just makes it BIGGER!!! If anyone that is wondering She does have 4 daughters Two of them full sisters to bossman!!!

Probally the next biggest one i know of would be Glenn Dice's. He has a Big Guy 2 yr. old that is unbelivably(sp) nice. Typical and has the look. Glenn has one of the nicest group of frammy(sp) deer i seen this year. Good Job Glenn!

You and I know what this line has been doing for years Kurt. I'm just thankful that we are both on the front end of it.

One other part of the production from this line might be worth mentioning... Little Orange 23's mom is also Texas Tea's grandmother. I think we are starting to see a trend here!

Texas Tea's grandmother and little orange 23 come from the same 454 doe. Barkley and cole have bred their own line and have consistantly put huge framed deer on the ground. Big guy and stickers outcrossed with their line bred genetics produced the biggest two year olds ever out of both big guy and stickers !! And that is no coincidence !!!

Thats exactly why i bought WILDMAN. Everyone has forgot about him since he about died at 3 from his injury, but he still has his beautiful look and more importantly is putting in on the ground. His oldest sons are 3 years old this year with several over 300 with lots of 2 and 3 year olds in the mid to high 200s. He is reproducing his look with lots sons with wide open frames. I have found only a couple sons that didn't score 200 @ 2 . I think we are going to see alot out of this line in the future.

That is a nice buck !! And drew your right about Glenn dice 2 year big guy buck called disco. we saw him this summer and he has a great look!!!

I'm with you on Wildman Kurt. Congrats on your purchase of him!

I have 3 Wildman daughters that will be live bred to TT this year. I have 13 does in with him that average over 29" Inside spread, and I can tell you that I'm more excited about my Wildman and Hoss girls than any other does in the pen! The consistent passdown of huge frames is undeniable.

Kurt congratulations in finding the diamond in the rough with your purchase of Wildman. Few weeks back Ron and Mary Pierce delivered their 2 and 3 year old AI pen bucks and as you know the eyes go to the 2 Wildman sons. Not many bucks I know can consistently throw frames and width. Best of success!!

Their is one straw of Wildman on Whitetail Exchange this week.

Scott, thanks for the kind words. Ron and Mary are growing some huge deer up there and I'm glad to hear that Wildman worked well with their program! I keep hearing great things about Wildman.. Width is the hardest things to breed for and as a preserve owner that's exactly what i am concentrating on.

Scott, I also want to thank you for building a way for everyone to be able to market their deer on the internet. The Apple Creek Crew are doing great things for the entire industry!! Keep up the good work !!

Just an update, We cut antlers again this morning and i got to put my hands on the womb brother of the 321 inch two year old Big Guy son. Little orange 23 can throw a high scoring massive son and clean typical in the same LITTER!!! Below is the typical womb brother. He scored 218 5/8 @ 2 unofficial.

What will these bucks look like @ 3?
