I woke up this morning to BOONE AND CROCKETT COUNTRY. I thought I was seeing Charly but after a closer look I noticed it was Shane Mahoney.

There was nothing positive, on this program, for the captive cervid industry. They're making their plea now, to the public, because they know the time is at hand to comment on the proposed regulations.

Episode 5 – Wildlife Health & Wildlife Diseases –

Wed 9/18 at 6:30 pm, Friday 9/20 at 12:30 pm, Saturday 9/21 at 9:30 am

Diseases such as CWD, EHD/blue tongue, brucellosis and others are an ever-increasing problem and threaten the health of our wildlife, livestock, and the public. What these diseases are, how they are transmitted, and what’s being done to control these diseases and secure the future health of our precious wildlife resources and the people is something every sportsman should know.

David,

Thank you for sharing. I only hope that members pay attention to ALL the warning signs. They are making a joined effort to put an end to this industry and using disease management as their plea. Please make an effort to watch this show.

Rhonda,

Did you get your check from the coalition for legal expenses? It was supposed to be sent to you by way of your state association.

I was cleaning some old files off the computer and came across this letter written to our governor over 10 years ago regarding the way our industry was treated and portrayed here in WI. Funny how some things never seem to change.

Not sure, David. I will check and let u know. Thank you for the support.

Interesting. If Wildlife was so worried about controlling disease, then why did they get themselves excused in the new "standards and rules", for controlling CWD. The same rules we are required to abide by.

It has always been that way, zoos are exempt and they move elk all over the place that aren't from CWD monitored herds. Just wanted to show that this isn't anything new.
