We had a very successful meeting at the state house. This was supposed to be the time for the DNR to put the final nail in the coffin and they fell embarrassingly short. I fully expected to get our a** handed to us but it was just the opposite. Their speakers were boring and so biased the committee members paid little attention. I would have liked to have seen a couple more "bigshots" from out of State involved on our behalf but a couple couldn't make it and others have declined to participate in Indiana. Shawn Shaffer does deserve much credit and a big thank you for participating along with everyone else who testified. I cant share everything because you know this is read by our opposition but it was a very good day for us.

Why is the HSUS even mentioned in the article when all they are saying is it is unfair for an animal to be hunted? Like I told one of our Senators, the issue is not wether you would hunt in a preserve, the issue is do farms and preserves spread CWD. No one should be able to define what hunting means to someone. Thanks for the update.

Thing is This was supposed to be limited to cwd and if it was there would have been 2.5 hours of testimony instead of 5 because everyone wanted to talk about ethical hunting or preserves. Almost didn't have time for Shawn Shafer to talk!
