bottlefed fawn with a tick buried

I have a 2 week old fawn with a tick buried in his shoulder. I know what I do for humans with ticks is dawn dish soap and they will back them selves out. What do I do for fawns medication wise or technique. The dawn didnt work on him. Thanks everyone

Thaught about that but how much ivomec should I give him he only weighs maybe 10lbs

I would think a drop on the tick and his buried head would do the trick.  Never tried it but just my way of thinking.  That small of an amount would not hurt a fawn.  I know if you have taktic it would work on him.  Problem is that product is no longer made in the States.  But it sure did work well on winter tick on elk and deer.  I would just spray the elk and deer in August/Sept and ticks were never a problem.

I was told 1/10 of a cc of ivomec sub q from a deer farmer on facebook. What do you guys think. Also I will let know what happens to help farmers in the future

Just put a couple drops on him and he will be gone.

I would try peroxide on it, I heard they will release when it hits them! Let us know what worked!!!! Charlie.
