Since alot of people are asking i figured it would be best to let everyone know that Browning Whitetails has sold their entire herd to Mississippi River Bottom Ultimate Genetics, the new owners will be Tom and Cathy Brumitt and Mike Mathes, they are a great group of folks and have a beautiful operation, please check out their web site at www.ultimatedeer,com. I wish them luck and as always when i sell something I will assist them in any way that I can. Congratulations to Tom,Cathy and Mike

Now, some of you are wanting to know why so I will explain the best i can. Browning Whitetails has obtained some of the best genetics the deer industry has to offer and we have proven that they will produce, to move our farm to the next level will require alot more time and money for advertising, breeding etc... and Browning Whitetails is no longer able to perform at that level and we do not want to take a step backward because that is just not acceptable. Tom, Cathy, and Mike have a commitment to building one of the best deer breeding facilties in America and they will be able to push our animals to the next level and beyond....

Some asked if i believe the deer industry is still a good investment or should they also consider selling out. I believe the deer industry is still a good industry to be in and can still be a good investment if you purchase your animals wisely, and breed them with alot of thought and study of genetics. Today you can purchase great animals at a fraction of the cost of what they were just a few short years ago, you do not need to spend 25,000 to 250,000 dollars plus on an animal to achieve success in this industry, do not buy into all the hype and do your homework and if you do your investment can pay you back many times over.

Thank You all, you will be missed and I will miss these great animals and most everything that went along with deer farming (except bottle feeding, wiping butts, etc). We have learned so much and I believe have achieved a high level of success..... Good luck to all and if i can be of assistance to anyone please let me know...Rick, Lynn, and Jon Browing

Thank you everyone for your kind comments, they are greatly appreciated....

If anyone is interested I may consider selling our property in Ohio, 10 acres, 7 fenced with 5 1.25 acre pens, 1 smaller pen, corrall, barn, house etc, the 7 acres is 8ft double fenced with shade cloth and electric wire

What makes our farm special is that in 6 years of breeding deer we have never treated a sick deer for anything, ecoli, clostridium, toxcity, etc..... never a vet visit for a sick deer,

we lost one buck due to hitting fence (our fault) and one doe fawn that aspirated mik into her lungs....2 losses in 6 years, if you might know anone interested please let them know about our property, i believe the price would be very appealing to a potential buyer

Thanks To Everyone Again

Rick,Lynn,Jon Browning

Rick, I was glad that I was able to meet you at the top 30. The information that you gave me and many other's about your red cap feeding info sure has helped me feeding my fawn's the past two year's.

thanks

Rick,

Thank you first of all for selling us your herd. At first I was in disbelief....more fawns to feed. You do have one class operation and we at Mississippi River Bottom hope to strive and do business the way you have in the past. We are new to the business and you and everyone in the deer community have always been so helpful. Rick you especially have made this transaction smooth and very enjoyable. I want to thank you for that and the pleasure of getting to know you.

If you get to missing bottle feeding come on down.We look forward to watching your bucks grow this year. I will try and keep you posted with pictures.

Again thanks for the kind words about our farm. We will see you in a few weeks.
