I have a buck fawn with nice buttons but they have not broke the skin. He is after a doe fawn hot and heavy. Can he breed her?

i was told if they have the "equipment" they can breed. so if he mounts her and his "equipment" is hanging out there's a good chance. we had a buck fawn breed a 2 yr mature doe that we had in the pen cuz her leg is messed up. anyhow..he mounted her 4-5 times...the last time he hopped off we could see it and he never jumped back on
