Bump on Doe Fawns Nose

Gotta make this quick...gotta head to work...

One of the doe fawns I raised has a lump on its snout and I'm wondering if this is a common issue/injury and if I should treat it with anything?

It basically looks like a goose egg we'd get if we smacked our head on something...just a small lump. No open sores (nor were there any before--so I'm not thinking it's an abcess) or anything like that. No change in behavior or feeding...and it didn't seem to hurt her when I rubbed it yesterday.

Should I just watch and see if it clears up on its own or should I treat her with something...and what is that something?

Thanks!

Blackshire, what did the lump feel like when you felt it? First thing that comes to mind is that lumpy jay that has been plauguing critters more and more lately. Usually comes from injury/poke inside mouth. The conscistency of the lump does help, fawnmommy gave me the best sight to find out some info, here it is; http://www.usask.ca/wcvm/herdmed/specialstock/- look under Fusobacterium

my new little accident victim had a goose egg come up on her head last night all of a sudden. this morning it ruptured and out oozed all this milky stinky infection.. cleaned it out and she has been on antibiotics since Monday

Definitely not lumpy jaw based on the pics I've managed to find...this is a small fur-covered lump directly on the top of the snout that looks about the size of a goose egg a child would get after trying to crawl underneath the coffee table that they're too tall to crawl underneath;)

As far as what it felt like...didn't feel mushy or anything...just felt like normal tissue/kinda swollen?

I'll have to go on a hunt for my digital camera...pretty sure my phone won't be able to get enough detail to see it.
