Campylobacter?

I had a 6 month old buck fawn that had watery loose stools for about a week, finally took a sample in and the float came back negative but the stain was positive for Campylobacter. After searching the forums for this, I see no one else has ever had or mentioned Campylobacter. The vet recommended Tribissen and Baytril treatment and probios.

Has anyone ever dealt with this or know exactly how this come about?

Campylobacter is self-limiting, therefore, it's pass-rate is fairly quick...as always, follow your vet's advice, although I would make sure he knows this is a young animal, as Baytril can cause bone growth plate tissue damage...other than that, a good probiotic is a good bet..
