Sure. If you know the bug you are treating is sensitive to the meds. One treatment?? Do you mean one dart?? I would not combine them in a dart. You would have to give about 15 cc per 100 lbs im for pen and 2 cc per 100 lbs draxxin sq. What are your symptoms??

I heard from a vet that you should never administer clear antibiotics and cloudy antibiotics at the same time. Such as Draxxin and Excede. What would the reasoning be behind this?

Never heard of that but I have heard that a rule of thumb for administering iv meds is that if you cannot read thru the medicine in a syringe you should not give it iv. We give multiple meds all the time with no reactions ex: excede and draxxin at same time for pneumonia but not in same location. God bless and good luck

Drjoe,

Have you ever given LA-200 and Draxxin together for pneumonia? LA-200 works so good on sheep with pneumonia and Draxxin would give a nice long acting treatment.

Just thinking it might be a good treatment for sheep. Thanks.

Jack- I have used an oxytetracycline and draxxin at same time for treatment. I like tetradure better than la200 because tetradure last 7 days and less reactive to the tissue than la200, from experience. Good combo. Draxxin is fro pneumonia only and is a different spectrum than tetradure. Tetradure is good on dusty pneumonias and bad intracellular bacteria
