I am just looking for some advice on what is a fair rate to charge for deer boarding. I sold several adult deer but the new owner will not be able to take them for a month or two. Anyone have an idea what the normal rate would be to charge for feed and care for them? Thanks again!

Gary Olson just posted a great topic about feed cost I think it's roughly around five hundred per year/ per head. Divide how many months your keeping them then multiply by the number you are keeping. Next add the amount for your labor. That would be a fair way to do it. The only question I cant answer is what you would charge for the labor part. Hope this helps.

I charge $2/day/deer for feed and board. More during fawning season or when extra work is needed.

I do $50 per deer, per month. If fawns are born, I'll charge a flat rate for vaccinnating, tagging etc.

For me, if the guy bought some of my deer, I would not charge him anything for a month or two. Just me but I would want him to come back. But charge him for starting on the bottle if they fawn.
