I planted clover this week for winter and spring plots. is there any thing I should look for when deer are put in. is bloating a big problem and what to do for it?

I have never had any problem turning adults into high white clover. Fawns that aren't born in it will bloat if turned out into clover. Be careful with your fawns. We plant oasis brand grazing type chicory in with our white clover. When it gets hot and dry the clover will burn out and the chicory will last. The clover will come back out strong in the fall.

I had a problem when I took month fawns outside and put them in a pen that was mostly clover. I think older fawns would probably be ok. I hope someone else with more knowledge about the bloating issue and fawns sensitivity to clover will comment on this for you.

I pick clover and feed my fawns gradually getting them use to it, keep adding more every couple days, they will then be ready to be released in the bigger clover pen. good luck!!!
