Compounded dex

Looking for advice from anyone that has used the compounded Dex to treat EHD.

What dosage did you use?

Did you mix with Draxin?

Is this supposed to be a one shot treatment or did your deer require a follow up dose?

Your success rate? What percentage of those you treated lived.

EHD is rolling in my neighborhood.

Thanks for the help. Bill

Bill, we used the compounded dex 24mg/ml. We started with one 1cc of dex and 1.5cc of draxxin. With that we had decent success. We then started shooting them with 2cc of dex with no antibiotic and had better luck with it. The most important part is catching them early.. If they live two days i would come back with another shot of dex and would save about everyone that lasted that long.

Call me tomorrow if you have any questions

I believe it was less than $50 for a 50 cc bottle

Early and I mean early signs I give 1cc dex & 1cc Draxxin

Late detection 2 cc dex

You guys need to fog & fog and start early, build no fly zone.

My Alabama farm is in the Heart of EHD zones, knock on wood

No deaths to date & I've had to medicate less than a handful.

But I fog regular, years before I fogged, they would drop like flies.
