Ok if I put my pens up and I buy deer does my date start now or does it go back to the date of the farm the were deer purchased from

Your CWD will be the lowest status of the deer you buy. If you buy 8 year status deer, you should get that status. Trouble is deer that cross state lines, don't get looked at over 5 years of status. You should check with your state, so they are aware of a higher status.
