two days ago i had a wild deer get run over. she sadly had fawns bloated and stunk real bad. i lost it trying to drag further from house with chain and truck. problem is last 2 nights coyotes have been so bad i got to go out and holler. dont last too long.sounds like 15 or more. she is in creek can i sprinkle golden marlin all over her they get so bad sounds like 50 foot away. they so bad i left gate open one night one was in behind house 5 ft away was up looked out it was there/ time got gun loaded with out turning light on he milled off this is almost 3 times aweek i go out and holler.i figure since she in creek might not take with liquid would like to know pretty quick. going to feedstore.DC

I work with a guy who is licensed for pest control. I have been using Blue Streak fly control I buy at Tractor Supply. I do have 1/2 a can of Golden Marlin, but started using Blue Streak because someone told me about it. My co-worker told me to sprinkle boric acid over anything I wanted to use as bait to send coyotes and bobcats to heaven. He told me it was oderless, tasteless, and water resistant. I haven't used this yet. He said it doesn't send the furry creatures to heaven as fast as other poison stuff, but it will do the job.
well too late i drove down there yesterday, for i bought some to see. sounded like 15 0r more worst i ever heard. i had had to go out ever few min and holler. first night was all it took wasnt nothing left just a small piece tried but shoulda done first night all gone. my neighbor down road saw a cougar in feild by deer scared them to death couldnt get gun in time few miles down road so there here! where can you get boric acid? DC
David check with some log home builders in your area !! They use boric acid to spray the logs to keep down bugs !!!
DC, i have a creek that runs through my farm and the coyotes are in my pasture every night. This is my first year with deer and i wake up at least 3 nights a week from the coyotes crying. Last night after dark the wife and i were sitting on the back porch having a drink. My old (14 years) black lab was laying about 20 foot from us when all the sudden a coyote came running up to her to try and i believe kill her. At her age she still had enough fire in her to run the coyote off. But man that scared the #$^@* out of the wife and i. I went inside to get my gun and by the time i came back out the coyote was gone. Never heard anything elsefrom him last night but it sure does have me worried about my deer all the time.

Split creek you better put an end to them yotes,they will get in sooner or later.A guy up here had a problem and never dealt with it and they did get in his buck pen and he lost 7 in one night between them taking them down and broken necks from the fence crashing!!!!!
Four Seasons i have been thinking that i need to do something to thin them out. I'm not quite sure what to do. I thought about contacting someone to come out and set traps at the back of my place where they seem to stay most of the time.

Get some of that marlin stuff everybody is talkin about but be carefull they say what ever eats that stuff is headin to its grave!!!
Boric Acid is often used to control cockroaches. I would think that you could get it anywhere. Golden Marlin or Bluestreak fly control would be my first shot.

Goldin Marlin works. You are right, you must be careful with it. Anything that ingests it will being laying right there, you don't have to guess whether or not it worked. They won't go 20 feet.

I'm going to read the ingredients on Golden Marlin and Bluestreak since I have some of each. I'd used Golden Marlin around the barn for flies before but at the time didn't need it for anything else. Bluestreak might just be another Golden Marlin ( other that the name). Same results..QUICK..'coons made it all the way to 50' with the record being one laying with his head in the pie pan. Inside the deer pen I have a small animal trap (cage type). I keep this about 10' from a feed trough. I drilled a 1/8" hole near the top of a 10" pie pan then wired the pan to a far corner on the cage, and have the cage wired to a t-post to keep it from being turned over. I then used baling wire and wove all but 5" from the bottom of the door to restrict fawns sticking their heads inside. To mix the Bluestreak...or, if you wan't, Golden Marlin, I pour a 12 oz. can of grape soda through the top of the cage, into the pan. Then I add two heaping tablespoons to the grape soda. I keep a twig to stick through the top of the cage and mix it well. 'never lost a deer from doing it this way. Dogs and EHD ...'another story.

The Goldin Marlin probably won't help with ehd but it will solve the dog problem. They don't get far. I am with Robert, if they come around my pen I will have a nice soda for them when they get thirsty.

Go to Predatormasters.com and see who in your area calls and shoots coyotes. Lots of good helpful people there and they won't charge. Jim
I realkly think i might have to use some golden marlin ,with some hamburger. there so close. but i want start predator hunting about next week.i mowed a trail to vacant land which adjoins me. i been waiting,till i could have enough time to not have so many doc appoint ments. got to get blood checked tommorow been to thick. is why i passed out the other night. had take ride ion ambulance. stay at hosp couple days.fri.cardoligist. next week i should be able to start predator hunting. with mowed trail over there i dont have to walk which i cant go very far . but i can drive walk very far get real wobbly.and plum wore out have to cool down and rest.then probably resort to golden marlin! later. they wake me every night sound like to many. i go out every night about 2 or 3 and have to holler! they sounded like many they ate the wild deer. in one night not a piece left. one thing that has helped me not woorry as bad i went to walmart last yr. got a baby monitor i can hear all action goin on even neighbors 1/4 away i got used to dogs mile away .also put bells on all fences, gates. only bad thing you hear all traffic goin down road till real late. in spring the frogs. I think, i called great lakes to get all i think was shipped. few days ago or last week. i will call rei see if it got here. i pretty sure it all did. thanks a bunch. i know wife and i real happy. i gonna practice somemore with some other. gonna get somebody that knows. unless i get better! i have hard time seeing .getting lot better.
