Does anyone know of any reason not to have deer and sheep on the same farm. They will be a distance apart, not in the same pen. Just wondered about any issues that I might have.

I wouldn't feed them the deer feed..it has something in it the sheep can't have..forgot what it is..think copper..Sure Joe can answer

I've had my sheep and deer together for thirty years. I do know if the sheep have what is called MCF and are carriers that disease will kill your deer. I raise bighorn hybrids as they have a good value and hunt facilities like the wild big bodies these crosses have. Fact is for me they sell better than whitetail.

Lazy V farm just email me and I will be able to send you pictures of hybrid sheep. I guess I'm not bright enough to post pictures on here. Did it a long way back but forgot how now so it would be easier just to email you.

If you want to see a bunch of picture just go to www.bucktrader.com and look under bighorn semen as I have many pictures there. I'm very proud of the sheep I raise as I think they are awesome. I have over twenty five years of experience raising hybrids Jack

Tom, you need to email me so I have your email address as that is the only way I know how to send pictures of my sheep. Also you can check out my sheep on www.bucktrader.com Thanks. Jack

I raise both fallow and whitetails together and have no problems. We've done this for years, they do great together.
