Its that time of year when everything is thawing out and things need a good cleaning from the winter. I was wondering what everyone uses to clean out their water troughs, pails, buckets, etc? Do you use bleach, dawn dish soap, or something else? Also, do you use anything to help keep the algae to a minimum?

Bleach and toilet brush works for cleaning. A little barley straw will stop algae from growing in troughs. The majority of the deer on our farm drink flowing cold water from Hurricane Creek.

I use an air pump and aerator keeps them fresh and clean only once a year just to get out dirt buildup from animals mouths T&S be careful don't use to much bleach
