I run the DNA Parentage Registry at Wildlife Genetics. I just wanted to take a minute to remind everyone out there that if they have a breeding sire that they are selling semen on we would love to receive a DNA sample from that animal. We are committed to providing the best possible service to our clients and to do that we need to have as many possible potential sires on file as we can. The process is easy and will not cost you more than the cost of a stamp. All I need is a hair or antler sample in a paper envelope along with the animals tag numbers, name, year of birth, your farms contact information and a short letter stating that it is a breeding sire you want added to the database for comparison in other peoples projects. Again-we do not charge you anything for this and it makes it much simpler for people buying semen from you to have their parentage verified. I will even verify parentage for you and send you certification free of charge. There is more info on our website at:
