I have a 1 1/2 year old doe that is trying to sh_t her self to death. I have had a samlpe checked, nothing. I have treated her water with Corid, I have loaded her up with probiotic's. I have wormed her with Ivomec, safe guard and 5 day's ago with Valbazen. After the last worming she went about half solid for a day or so that back to liquid. She has alway's acted like she feel's fine, has now lost a lot of weight. I also gave 2ml of Baytril 2 day's ago. Mix'ed electrolite's in her water today. I also have her seperated to a pen by her self. Any one have any idea what I am missing here or what I should do to try and fix her problem.

Only time I have had these kinds of problems it was usually coccidia.....I lost a 1 1/2 year old once to it and it was frustrating to deal with......but this is what my guess is that it might be.....good luck.....

DD, is'nt Corid what you would use for coccidia?

If you have a handeling facility..........I would give her some charcoal paste. I had one similar and had good luck with that and used good ol long lasting penicillin a HEAVY dose 3x in one week.

Good Luck with her

Yes but I was told by a dr Wagner here in Pa sometimes you can have different strains and some do not respond to the corrid treatment.....it did not work for me...so I used Marquis......it is expensive but I saved a lot of fawns with it that had coccidia......

Coccicida responds well to Marquis, a horse medication. Do a google search for compounding labs that sell it. Marquis actually kills the adult coccicida.

posted on top of you Dennis.

Yes it is expensive, $200 a tube IF you can find one tube for sale. I found some on google searches AFTER I got some from a horse vet. A tube goes a LOOOONG way.

Yes ....I could not buy just one tube...had to buy the kit....yikes it was like 700 dollars....but I have had a supply for a while......good stuff for coccidia though....dtala is right.....Charcoal and penicillin may work as well.......

Draxxin worked for me. My doe had gotten so skinny I thought she was going to die. We had tried everything. I gave her 3 ccs and in 2 wks you could not tell she ever had anything wrong. She would maybe run off again every 5 or 6 months and drax would clear her up. Lived to be 4 yrs old before EHD SUCKED HER LIFE FROM US!

I have one now doing the same thing. I called Dr Wagner and he says he thinks salminila(spelling). I had a sample tested for coccida and worms...Clean..I have some in now to rule out jonnies(spelling). She responed good to genamyacin for awhile then bad again. Doc says 2cc draxxin and heavy probiotics with auromyiacin.(spelling) in her feed.

She has put weight back on but is still loose most of the time. Doc says probably 30 days or longer before she comes back around.

I will give draxxin a try and keep giving probiotic's heavy, never had one do this before so I am some what lost on how to treat her.

It will take forever if she is like mine. Very frustrating. Threw everything at her and no help. Her backbone was sticking out and when our state vet was here here says..That deer might have CWD.. LOL..Show you what kind of guys im dealin with up here but she did look bad.

She has put weight back on but i now give her shock conditioner and a product i got info from jake glick about. Its made by Epic and it has yeast in it. It feeds the good bugs in the gut that you are puttin back in her! I also have probiotics added to her water. I use that buck jam stuff from gander mountain that is real sticky. You have to give it to her heavy and make sure she gets it in her..Hence mixing it sticky on her feed.
