doe transport box

I was wondering what size doe boxes do most of you reccomend or use? Mine have seen better days, and I need to make a couple new ones. The ones that I have been using are a little to big for just (adult) does. Any ideas?

i use a 4x4x4 made out of 1/2 in plywood works good

I was always told you dont want them to turn around so i have mine 20"wide X 4' high X 5'long. I have never had a problem. once they are in there they are calm and dont bang around.

Ours is 3' wide 6' long and truck cab height. The reason for the cab height is we where transporting a doe last year and the box almost blew out of the truck with the doe in it. Talk about dirtying your laundry. So we cut the box down to cab height to keep the wind from catching it and we now strap it down. Yeah I know we could slow down.

If you plan on hauling them in your truck bed and more than one box at a time. Make them less than 24" wide and four foot long. A truck bed is 4' wide between the wheel wells. you will be able to fit two side by side between the wheel wells or turn them side ways and get more than two in a bed.
