I have a bred doe that has has pretty loose stools for the last couple weeks and am beginning to wonder whether I need to do something. She always has a little on her tail and back of legs. Its not total water looking, just loose. She is eating and drinking fine, acting normal so I have just been watching her. Maybe it's just from the spring green up? I have 4 other does in that pen and no others seem loose like her. Any thoughts?

Wormed her in fall when ai'ing with ivomec injectable and then again this march with safe guard pellets. She is due to fawn any time now s o was thinking about being causious about medicating her. Their pen is green but they do have most tree browse gone. Since pens are so green and haven't kept hay in front of them. Maybe try that and some pumpkin as well

Rotavirus/coronavirus vaccine. I would give it to her before fawning. That's also advised from the manufacturer. Its oral so I shoot it in the middle of a peanut and Dob real peanut butter over the inject hole. Works for me. It should clear it up if its not worms. If your deer have never had this vaccine, i highly recommend it! Found out about it in March and wish i knew about it last year. It was what I lost a couple fawns too. I hope this can help. Jason DCW

Its about 75.00 for twenty five doses. Two part modified live vaccine. Makes 3-ml per mix. This will do for fifty initial doses or twenty -five complete initial and follow ups @ 1 1/2 ml.

We have several does that get loose in the spring when the greens come out. We always just add 2 cap fulls of Neomycine (spelling) to that does feed or water. This will sooth her intestines if they are inflamed and causing her to be loose. Works every spring for me and use it all the time. Everyone I recommended this to for loose spring stool worked for them also. If you cant separate her the Neomycine wont hurt the other 3 does and would just add it to there daily ration.
