Hi, I have had 2 or 3 fawns that drool clear liquid out of their mouth! they seem to lay around and act different! We lost one, we gave pen G and dex and that one is still alive but not totally right. Now we have another one! all are alittle over 3 weeks of age! Any Ideas ? Thanks for any help in advance! JIM S

There are a few different kind of weeds mostly grass I did hand spray a few thistles in there! Thanks JIM

They may have got a taste of the chemical. How many days has it been since you sprayed? When did you notice the first signs of your problem. What kind of chemical did u spray. More info the better. If you use round up one of the common side effects is animal drooling loss of appetite and they can become very ill if they eat the plant. but generally it is safe for pets after the round up as dried unless they eat it of coarse

Could also be Fusobacterium necrophorum. Treatment with 1/2cc draxxin will usually clear it up. I started vaccinating for it last year. Symptoms are drooling and eventually pussy abscesses in mouth. It def can kill them if left untreated.

My 3 week old fawn just started drooling tonight. He lives in my house and goes to work with me and he is limited to chemicals at work. He is drinking electrolytes but doesn't seem to want his milk. Poop is like pudding which is better then what is was last week. What could be causing this. Worried
