Does anyone have a remedy for EHD. Has anything worked for ya'll?

I have a doe that (after talking to Dr. McBride and the guys at Tex-Star Wildlife Consulting) we have determined to have EHD. I have isolated her in a sick pen with a fan and mister, feed, water and alfalfa. I also gave her 2cc of Banamine, 5cc of Baytril, 5cc of Dexamethozone, and 2cc of Penicillin. She a yearling non-bred doe with AJ as her sire and Peanut is her grandsire on her dam side.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a method for treatment of Blue tongue/EHD by Tim Condict. He says he stopped EHD on his farm by using this procedure. Personally, I dont know, I just hope this helps you. I planned on using this procedure if any of mine contracted the disease but hope I never have to ! Good luck and let us know if it works for you ! Jeff

OK Here goes. If you have the symptoms of EHD/BLUETONGUE and have a facility run all the deer through. Give 20cc la 200 to adults, 10cc dexamethazone,10cc baytril. Spray each deer(soak well) with a 10% pemethrin fly spray(found at most feed stores) mixed as directed and with a liberal dose of centrinilla concentrate(found at most herbal stores). Put a triple dose of ivomec pour on on their back and repeat worming every 10 days with same wormer except now put it in their feed(mixed well). Keep all of the ones with symptoms up and give 15 cc la 200 daily for 3 days. Spray the pens, barns, and trees with the same fly spray. Move water tanks away from trees or anything overhead. Wash water tanks with bleach water. Put 1 cap of bleach for each 30 gallons in water tank after filling. Clean water tanks daily. Spray after every rain or every 2 weeks until the first freeze. Keep a heavy dose of aueromycin crumbles on the feed. If you don't have a facility do all of the things you can. If you have to,dart the ones with symptoms and give same dosage except add 10cc more la 200.If you don't have any symptoms but are around where it is. Spray all areas as said before. Worm your deer with triple dose of ivomec pour on in their feed. Do the same thing with water as said before. Repeat worming every 10 days. After worming add aueromycin crumbles. Don't ask me why but it works! Don't just do part of the equation. Good Luck

If you pour the ivomec on their feed, is it the same as what you pour on them, or a special kind that goes on feed?

I have never had to use this treatment but what I got from the article, written by Mr. Condict , is that it is the same Ivamec pour - on that that is poured onto their back that is mixed into their feed.
