I have 4 or 5 does with eye burgers just wondering what is causing this . before it was one or two deer and I just left it alone.

thanks Ed

Over the years I have had this in some of my deer and I did nothing for it and it seemed to pass during the winter . Haven't had it for years now. Jim

Very good chance it is conjucktavidis, it is highly contagious. Treat all the deer with a antibiotic. If you are handling them wear gloves and wash hands.

It is usually bad this time of year for eye boogers. Simply because it is dusty and the deer are foraging more through the leaves. I usually just try to wipe them out if I can, but most of the time the deer help to keep each other clean.

I don't usually worry about it too much. I see a major decrease after it rains a few times to nock the dust down.

We had eye boogers and I think pollen was most of it. It was a bad pollen season here for humans. Now if other symptoms with it then treat.
