How can I guess a fawns age? Is there someone that has photos for size comparison?
size comparison is mostly not accurate because of variances in birth weights. Alabama deer can run from just under two pounds to over six at birth. Northern deer usually run a good bit larger.
I would like to know about how old mine is also, she has the front 4 teeth and one on each jaw in the back.
newborns here usually have mostly pink hooves, they turn black within a week. After that I can't help...
its a brownish and looks like pellets but they are clumped like a dogs... also the hooves are black and was when I got her.
My Gurlz, I have two doe fawns. One is 5 weeks old today and the other is 6 weeks today. Their bowel movement is like yours. They also pee on their own and are very active. Hope this helps.

If the eyes are still tinted blue, your fawn is less than 2 weeks old. Fawns are born with a light or dark blue haze to their eyes, they loose that blue in 10-15 days.
