I had a fawn born last night with her eyes still sealed closed. There is a tiny opening on the inside corner of one of them. I've soaked them with warm water and also put opthalmic ointment on them. I try to pry them open but not having any luck yet. I will keep trying this but just wondering if anyone else has any suggestions.

I have never had that happen. Is the fawn eating? It is probably premature. If no one responds that has experienced this, I would consult a vet.

She is full term. I had this happen a number of years ago to a fawn and, if I remember correctly, I just kept working at trying to spread them apart. Just wondering if anything else has worked for anyone who had that happen.
