Fawn Boxes for Bottle Feeding

Jeff, mine are 4 ft. tall x 4 ft deep x 2 ft wide. Pine shavings is also what I use. If you have any questions just give me a call.

Ours are 4x4 squares a little bigger but allows us to get in the box with the fawn for the first 2 weeks then they go to a 12x12 kind of like a community stall were they can be with other fawns. We use cedar shavings and haven't had any problem with them.

mine are 4 foot by 4 foot so i can go in with them and i use saw dust and top with alf alfa for their bedding. Make sure you go at least 4 foot high or they will jump out trust me mine are only 3 foot high and they jump rigt over after a few weeks old planning on adding a nother foot this year.

I use extra large dog crates. I put a layer of newspaper covered with a nice bedding of straw. I pull the wet newspaper out daily and replace with fresh. They have plenty of ventilation and the fawns feel comfortable in a smaller area when they are little. If I have an extra spooky fawn I'll cover the carrier with a towel or blanket, usually only for a day or two till they are used to our daily activities. Using some course hay sounds like a good idea. They will start nibbling on the hay between my picking fresh greens for them.
