I have the fawn that is now almost two weeks old he seems to be doing great eating good, all seems well he is running around the field and has lots of energy,I have checked with the feed store here and also talked to the vet about grains for him,we are very limited to what I can buy here as far as grain goes and i was told I could try him on a mix of cracked grains, corn, oats and barley but they are not sure what would be best to feed him,I am making calls and checking with everyone in town and that is what they came up with because they are not totaly sure I thought I would ask here. I have bin reading other posts and you are all so helpful,I know how much and often to feed him just doing my home work on the grains.Thank you all for your help:)

We feed our young fawn, goat chow from Purina Mills. We have had him on it sence he was 4 weeks old, plus red cap milk, he is now 12 weeks old. This feed has the oats, grains, pellets, and crushed corn in it, it also has vitamins in it, and it has a good protein count. Hope this helped, this is our first buck fawn. Love the forum, lots of helpful info on hear, hope this helped.

at two weeks, this fawn shouldnt need feed yet,if its on the mother let it go,if your bottle feeding it,just make sure it has plenty of fresh dirt.we usually use a shovel, and turn some over, the"ll eat it right out of your hand..helps there digestive system.when you see it starting to graze, then offer it feed..:) good luck!
