Hello i am looking for some advice on where different people keep their fawns when they are first born? How long you wait to place the fawns back in their pen with the mothers? Thanks

Trigger - you will find a wide variety of answers to this question. People pull their fawns anywhere from 6 - 48 hours old, some keep them in dog kennels, some in a room in their house or barn, the options are endless. It really depends on your facility and what type of accommodations you can create for them so that they are warm, safe and secure. As for putting them back with the does, it will depend on if the doe nursed another fawn or not. If she did, and still has milk when you wean the bottle fawn, you will need to wait until you have separated the nursing fawns and allowed her to dry up, or the bottle fawns will usually try to continue to steal milk.
