One of our fawns, about 7 weeks old, got spooked and ran off into the woods. We just finally got her back today. She’s been on the lamb for almost 3 days. Underneath her eyes are puffy but eyes appear sunken at the same time. She is having labored breathing through nose, but she’s not panting out of her mouth. No drool or anything. She’s also shivering. It’s mid 90’s here and she’s use to 70 degrees. I did give her a little electrolyte paste. She was so hungry when we found her. I assume she is, of course, dehydrated. But we also noticed her legs are shaky when standing and she’s walking on the tips of her hooves. Anyone ever experienced this and can give advice on what we can do for her?
