What would you all recommend for a fawn that appears to have coccidiosis? I know in cattle you can give them a sulfa bonus, but was not sure in a 3 week old fawn. This fawn is still on the momma.

Can you take a stool sample to the vet? Marquee is an excellent medication to give them. Kind of pricey but it worked for me. And a quarter size of regular pumpkin will help stop them from being runny. In the can.

Albon, 2cc per 10lbs for 7 days followed up by probiotics and fluids if deemed necessary.

treat the water with Albon, treat the sick fawn with Marquis. Marquis will kill the coccicidia one time use. Several compounding labs make smaller doses of Marquis(Ponazuril) than you can get from a horse vet($600.00 for three tubes) ($200.00 per tube IF you can find someone to sell just ONE tube)

SVPMEDS, Wedgewood Pharmacy have it.

I'm not sure about the advice of treating the water with Albon. I would recommend treating the water with Corid.
