Fawns and feeders?

This question is in relation to pens with does raising fawns, not bottle feds. My question is about feeder styles and heights. I want to make sure the fawns have access to feed at all times so they can start when they are ready. If using a gravity feeder, say like thunder valley's, will fawns eat out of those and if so what height would you generally keep it so they can reach. I didn't want it so. Low the does have issues either. Secondly, what about a trough feeder, again would fawns have issues reaching into one of them t o access the feed, or can it be low enough for them to get at it. When I started I just had the little rubber dishes but as herd expands need larger capacity feeders and trying to see what would work best. Thanks

Hi Jens! We have had our mother raised fawns eating out of the 4 tube at 5 weeks. But we also put a small feeder in so they are sure to get all they want. The 4 tube is about 28 in. off the ground so we put the single tube about 20 in. off the ground.

Hope this helps!
