We had our first 2 fawns born this morning about 8AM. They are so cute!!:)

One is up and walking well eating well, the other is smaller and has only moved one time a very short distance, he has not eaten at all or even cried to be fed. He does not blat or try to wiggle out when I picked him up but just hung there. Is this normal for some? advice?

Yes...all you mentioned is perfectly normal 'Mom', so relax. :)

In a few short days, you will not be able to catch them.

It's possible that maybe the smaller one got a bigger meal right after birth and has no reason to eat yet.

Check the smaller fawn in the morning to make sure it has a tight tummy, a full tummy, and NOT a gant tummy. If it does, you might at this time consider pulling it, or at least monitor it very closely by checking it several times throughout the day to look for that full tummy. Once you see it has that tight tummy, no need to continue checking.

Hope the Best!

Mama fed both fawns at least 1 or 2 times during the night and their bellies were tight this morning however she just now for fed them for the first time today (6:30PM). She didn't feed them until we actually brought them to her. She fed both for quite a while and then fed the little buck for another few just an hour later. Do we pull them, please advice?

I have seen my fawns with the mothers lay in one spot for up to 7 hours with no mom in sight, they can go a while on a full belly. They will eat when their hungry, some have big appitites that seem to never be satified, some eat big meals just a couple times a day. I would not pull the fawns if i was you, no use doing the work if momma is. if you have seen them drink once, they will be taken care of just fine.

Becjo - I agree totally with Antlershed! lol I have to laugh...certainly not AT you...because you are obviously trying so hard to attain great stewardship of your deer...but trust me when I say...you are fretting for nothing. It is absolutely normal for those fawns to lay for long peroids of time during the day without getting fed...it's only natural. And you don't have to take them fawns to her...she WILL find them.

Had you not brought them to her, she would have come looking for them with grunts, or if their hunger pains had gone past the fawns comfort zone, they would bleet for her.

I laugh because I relate with your anxiousness of being a first time ''Mom''...I was the same way!!!

Rest easy Becjo...it's all good!!! And feel free to call anytime!
