how many of you preserves owners have hunters that want there hunt or hunts filmed? and if so do you hire someone or do yah have a guide that dose the flimin? cause i know today people love to look back at there hunt and be able to show friends and family.

We film most of our hunts. We do not let our customers film them at all as in general, the public is not too good at it. (hard to not shake when the gun goes off) We use tripods when possible and cut a DVD for our hunters. I seem to have heard the story above more than once as well.

When we had hunts in Montana we always filmed the hunt and never let the client do any filming. We filmed all of the hunt including the kill shot. We then stopped filming till the client was retrieving his dead animal. This way there was never a animal shown dying as we felt that was not part of the dignity of the animal harvest. We did edit the film ( if the client made a bad shot) and made a copy for the client. We did let the client take as many pictures of himself and his trophy and guide. The hunting ranch kept all the dying scenes out of any film for reasons quite obvious.

Jack is exactly right. We definitely edited, and we created the DVD.
