I noticed tonight one of my girls has a limp in her front right leg. By the time I got out there with the dart gun it was dark.I had to use a spotlight and when I shined it on her you could tell that her shoulder was swelled up so I hit her with 1 1/2cc of zuprevo. Any ideas what might be going on. Thank you

That doesn't sound like her. She's the calm doe out of the heard. I touched her nose last fall and she's no bottle fed doe. I thought that was crazy lol. She must be about 6yrs old

Sometimes it is the calmest and tamest doe who gets the most scared and excited over something odd or unusual that took place. Such as a plastic bag floating past the pen, a hot air balloon, or some other oddity that takes place.
Often times things that pop up if given a little time will remedy themselves shortly afterward. Most times just monitoring things is best action to take.

Roger you are right on the money We had a DOG TAME doe that the kids could ride Every time an ambulance or firetruck siron went buy it went NUTS She would run into gates, fences and even other deer! UNBELIEVABLE!!

What the heck. I will keep an eye on her and hopefully she gets better. Im sure she Will be fine

R&J,
I have a 2yr old buck that has been limping on front right leg as well. Now on the lower very front of his shoulder he has a lump or maybe swelling. Trying to wait it out and see if he gets better, one day he looks like he's on the mend then next looks bad again.. Makes you crazy...

Yea I hear ya. I didn't get out there to day and just got home from hauling grain. Busy time of the year for me so don't get out there much.

Well I was able to get out there this morning just as the sun came up and she looks like she's getting better she was actually using her leg this morning so I think she will be fine. Thanks Ryan w/R&J Whitetails

Good to hear!!!! I'm out of town but my daughter said mine still limping pretty bad this morning..

I darted mine with 1 1/2cc zuprevo. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with her getting better or not but she is definitely looking better two days after I darted her
