My yearling buck started losing hair around his two metal tags. After a week or so it spread up his ears. As you can see in the pic the hair had started to grow back around the metal tags where it all started. Has anyone seen this before, any ideas? Not sure if it has to do with shedding his winter coat, or mites or what. I wouldn't think if it was mange mites that the hair would be growing back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Ryan the twin to yours did the same thing just not as bad. Mine grew back fine. No infection or puss around the tag! Maybe just a reaction to the metal! I also have one that i cant put an rfid button in without getting an infection!
I think he will be fine just keep an eye on him!
Ps... I sold you the better of the two. He is way ahead of his brother at ten months old.Congrats. Looks like Hardcore will come through!!!!!
