I have a buck that 3 weeks ago had the scours bad. I darted him a few times with nuflor and draxxin with no improvement. Then last week I knock him down and gave him nuflor, draxxin,la 300, and wormed him. His poop is fine now and he does eat,but he is extremely weak to the point he lets me help him up to move around in the mornings (he is not bottle fed). It has been a week since we knocked him down is there anything else I can do for him to get his strength back and start putting weight back on because he has also lost most of his weight and is extremely skinny. Please help!!!

Sounds like he could use some saline fluids subQ. However he sounds to weak to sedate. Can you put him in a drop chute? If not since you actually help him up would he tolerate you doing it where he lays? Make sure the fluid is not too cold so as to shock him. Some banamine (spelling) is a good idea also.

may sound weird but I had one weak and i put sugar water in a syringe and gave it to him several times a day and it seamed to help boost him up.

Wouldn't hurt to get something like red cell and top dress his feed. Help build up the blood cells. Good luck

caan you tell me what red cell is ??? and where i can get it

Red cell is a yucca flavored vitamin- iron mineral supplement for horses. Google it. Runs 9.00-20.00/ gallon. I fed it to my show horses to help build energy and strength.
