I have a very small (about 22lbs) little doe that we think has blue tongue that we have been treating since last Sunday with a shot of dexamethadose and pencillin once a day and now tube feeding. She is very week and slightly better but the tubing is getting more difficult maybe because she's fighting it more and/or because i hate doing it and am afraid i'm either hurting her or killing her everytime. I've read that they get sores in their mouth and esophagus and i'm so afraid shes fighting me because it hurts so bad and it's just killing me. She tries to drink and is doing it better now like when drinking water from a bucket but she just started licking it. She was kind of scooping it like a chicken does. She has a hard time picking up food or keeping it in her mouth. Is this from soreness or something that happened from the blue tongue. I read it affects their eyes and brains first. Someone help me out i'm desperate please!

The soreness in the mouth is part of EHD. They get really swollen and very red. The tubing is very stressful for them and for you. I hopes she gets better.
