A fawn with a hernia will be fine without intervention. Hernias will close and heal on their own on fawns. They are usually around the naval. In my opinion your fawn likely has a small abscess or hematoma caused by something else.

I think it is a hernia, I've seen that about twice in deer here in marietta, ga. Last year when I sold my marietta bathroom remodel business here, I started hunting more and we helped one fawn with one.
