Iowa Mike and Willows and Whitetails went to pick up a few does on Saturday, Dave wasn't there. He was in the hospital with Holly. They believe she had suffered a brain aneurysm Friday night?
My Mom suffered an aneurysm and one of the last things she said was it felt like someone was beating her with a sledge hammer and then she went unconscious. I don't know how it was for Holly. I pray it wasn't that bad. From what I can understand they were either heading back home or were back home. I have no other information, I was hoping someone else would.
We had dinner with David and Holly wed night at the Top 30 she was not feeling well then she told me that she had a terrible headache. She just wanted to go back to hotel and lay down. I asked david the next day how she was feeling and he said that night he had taken her to the ER and that everything was fine she was just really tired. so we didnt see her any more at the top 30 =(
i got a call on sat night and a friend told me there is something on face book about holly having a brain aneurism i looked immeditaly and messaged her sisters to keep us posted on how she is doing. I also texted david and this is what he told me. She was air lifted to Tulsa Brain aneurism bursting she is in the ICU.
The doctors say she is very lucky that she has lived through this as most people wouldnt have. They were waiting for another CT scan and either have sugery today or tomorrow if nothing changes.
latest update:
CT is done, we won't know results until tomorrow. They did say that since they didn't call up immediately that it was safe to assume there is no change or at least not worse. She will have angiogram in the morning and if they find the spot they will potentially fix while they are in there.
As we all know Holly is a very strong lady and a great friend to alot of us
Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family through this hard time!
Lots of love from your Minnesota Deer Farming Friends
Wow......Never have had the opportunity to meet Holly but know she is very well liked by many......she is in our prayers! May she have a quick and complete recovery!Amen!!
Definitely bad news!! Hope Holly comes through this OK. Talked to her a couple times at the Top 30 this year. Hope to get to talk to her again, she is always friendly and up beat. Again, hate to hear this!!!
Holly has been a big part in the rise of NADeFA and deer farming regulations that have been simplified and allowed us to all pursue our dreams. That's not important right now but all of our concern is. She has been a true friend of every deer farmer whether you have met her or not. Good luck Holly. It made me sick to hear.
I had the oppurtunity to meet Holly and Dave for the first time in person at this years chupps sale. Super, super people, my thoughts and prayers are with them and hope for a speedy recovery.
