Now I will never know if I could have won:(:p

In all honesty, if I was an interrogator and made such an open ended comment/poll and got the responses I did, it would be a closed case. I guess it is true that those who are presumed innocent will have a guilty conscience and try to defend their actions, even though the question wasn't directed directly towards them.... :D

No harm no foul, Roger. You and others have some nice buck and worked very hard to produce them. Congratulations to all of you -- honestly.

Reed,

I dont think I know which topic you are referring to. I really dont read or follow every post or topic that is posted. I do like the noodling topic and agree with the others that I aint sticking my hand in a hole with a critter that big.

I really dont think you caused the sh-it to hit the fan over the poll I created. I do like looking at the pictures posted from everyone, as long as its not the same buck posted 5 and 6 times a week in every single topic that I do choose to click on... :D

I had a few people over the last few weeks email me, along with talking to others at their farm and on the phone that said about how irritating it is to see a few people post the same buck picture 5 and 6 times a week and right over/under/after someone else posts a picture of their deer in a completely separate topic. So, without listing names or pointing fingers I thought it would be a fun way to do a little ribbing and also a polite way of asking to tone it down a little. That's when the sh-it really hit the fan.

I know a lot of people were thinking what I posted. I have always been a person that said what was on my mind and it really does get me into trouble sometimes. With that said, I can only image how hard it would be to remain humble with the success of a huge deer in my pen. I truly do respect the folks that can remain humble as well as thankful for their blessing.

You know, on another note, I've been thinking about all the "drama" lately. I bet a tabloid magazine like the national inquirer for the deer industry would be a hot seller. I bet it could put Hugh Hefner on the bottom shelf at the magazine stands.

I was hoping I could finally win at something! Before I could nominate myself the contest was discontinued:(

John, both of the ideas I have quoted you on are right on the money. It goes a lot further than posting buck photos on this forum however. I have had to walk away from the computer a couple of times in recent weeks to keep from posting something that would stir things up a LOT more than your post did and like you said, in talking with others there are a lot of people that see things as we see them. I am convinced that this industry has a lot more really good people than bad. It is as if this industry is a reflection of America in general - far more good people than bad but many of the good walk around like mindless sheeple afraid to challenge even what they know is wrong.
