Wisconsin is known for its spectacular natural beauty and its many lakes and rivers. The states sportsmen and women enjoy the natural resources year round. Even in the cold of winter, people are known for spending time outdoors skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing.

Last Saturday, USSA took several kids on an ice fishing expedition on Lake Dubay near Mosinee, Wisconsin. With over 100 ice fishing rods and tip-ups out, the USSA mentors made the ice holier than a slice of Swiss cheese.

The event was directed by USSA Volunteer Matt Normington, area fisherman Dan Kusat, and a host of other caring volunteers. New volunteer Melissa Dombrowski, attended the event and provided fun extracurricular activities for the kids as they waited for the fish to bite. She helped the kids make snow angels, over saw snow bowling, and helped ensure a quality time for all.

On behalf of USSA I would like to thank everyone who made this possible, and wish you all good luck on Sunday’s 2nd/ ice fishing event.

God bless you!

Brigid,

This is a great thing you do for the kids. I seen that you have a Turkey hunt coming up if you every need a farm in MO. for the kids to turkey hunt let me know I have 1200 acres with plenty of turkeys to go around and I would be more than happy to provide a place to hunt.

Brigid,

I talked with Keith's mother today and sounds like he can't wait I will be sure to get some pics. and post them for you.

My bass pond is half ice covered. Today it was cool and rainy. Went fishing with some spinners and the bass were sluggish but biting. Never thought I could bounce a spinner off the ice and catch bass.
