How it works:
Non-profits and your local game and fish come together under one tent called the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies:

In North Dakota many times game and fish officials will also be on the board of the wildlife federation or society. Federal employees from the US Geological Survey and the US Fish and Wildlife Service also serve on these non-governmental boards.
The question then becomes, are these (NGO) non-profits truly a grassroots sportsmens org? Probably not.
Their upcoming pow wow is:

This would be the one to attend.
Everyone of us knows and understands the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. In 1917 the countries wildlife was suffering. Many things were done such as the Pitt-Robertson Act to bring wildlife back to a success story. However, since 1995 straight lines have been bent and the story is blurred. Dr. Valerius Geist had earlier immigrated from Communist East Germany to Canada and partnered with Shane Mahoney of New Brunswick to write a their version of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation.
At first blush it doesn't look socialist or sinister. The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies fully adopted it in 2002. But there are some true believers who just cannot sip in moderation.
One of them is Jim Posewitz from Montana:

And...........any 501(c)3 that accepts federal money cannot involve itself in a States rights issue.
