Jerilee, Don't give these two a second thought. Ryan's article is poorly written and as usual, chuck full of his reporting by omissions style!! As for Terry, don't give him a second thought. He is lost in his own blog world, doing all he can to try to make someone else's life as miserable as his apparently must be.

Rhonda, you are too funny. I don't know if you purposely signed off with " best regards" knowing Terry's antics. He uses the similar "kind regards" at the end of everything. It almost seemed like you were posting in his writing style and format with the pasted comment of Jerri lee's. I am sure he feels the sharp needle if he is reading on here. Lol

Was there really 284 deer test positive ?  If that is true i think it will be a game changer for our industry...... and not in a good way.

Yes but we all know people are not smart enough to know the difference and please tell me how they can even release or report on this when there was not a true cwd test even completed? The state or usda should not even be able to use these figures.

You don't here anything about the Red Deer farm we had in Minnesota.  They only had 1 positive out of 500 head, and still had to depopulate.  150 of them sat for 2 years there also, yet had no more positives.


There has been no report of this in the news.

we need to educate people that the numbers would not have been 80% if they had not been quarantined for "2" years.  Tom and Ronda tried 6 times to get powers that be let them take them to the preserve to shoot them.  They would not let them and the state had no money for indemnity so they sat for 2 yrs. 


One can only hope that  the blood test is very accurate because the nasal swab was basically a flop.  They didn't have swabs made for whitetail, they were made for elk and they having issues getting the samples from the desired area.  If the blood test is accurate, we can look at it this way, we will likely have more than enough true NUMBERS to validate a live test from one herd.  Where it could have taken MANY herds if the numbers were low in each herd. The blood research not only is for CWD but they are working on tests for CJD, Alzheimers, and parkinsons.  Lets hope it turns into a blessing.  At lest we will know soon if the blood test is an option, the results are not back yet on them.

I hope conclusive results come out to clarify.  I think a lot of people on both sides of this issue are going to rethink cwd if the numbers are correct.   I dont even want to think how far this will set the industry back.

All this raises a lot of questions. Even the researchers were very surprised that the infection rate was so high.

Why did this farm and the farm in PA had such high percentages of positives in their herds?

Is it genetics, animal concentration/acre, feed sources, water source, maybe a different more infective prion, etc. If you remember the study at the Colorado gov facility they had a high fawn death rate. At the time they had no idea why, and only after the fact they speculated it was due to the cwd.

The thing that would have been interesting would have been for these animals to live out their lives and see if they would have DIED from cwd as they all claim they will. We all saw pictures and they looked as healthy as any.

I wonder if the researchers will be looking at genetic lines to see if there is a pattern so they can check for markers. I would imagine more could have been done research wise if there would have been any idea that the infection rate would have been so high.

Several of us have had our run inns with that little Obama fare check sucking little rat. He does go under the name flounder on several sites and blames everyone in the meat or Ag industry for his mothers passing. He calls it corporate murder. He has no formal education and no background in any form of animal science or human . He is a over the top left wing liberal activist. He even claims to have given the Sabalow kid the info to get his stories from, He even asked why he did not get recognition for doing so  and he went on to explain . This is a poor excuse for a human being and just seeks attention as its his way of feeling a form of self gratification and living in the cyber world for what little knowledge he has of it takes him away from reality . I hope Russell has banned him the same way that the Mod did Rhonda on their forum, And like I told her If they monitored or intercepted a private conversation between her and him with out consent its called interstate wiretapping. Federal offense!!! But he probably cried to a mod that he felt threatened and that why she was banned, He said once that I and my kind was only on there to stalk him. He has a serious self induced paranoid ocd problem. I have even told him he needs help.


 


I have even called him out to meet in a media covered room across a table to discuss and his accusations  and all he will do is deflect and redirect to make a exit and sound off with his childish kind regards or snip text. He is bottom line a stir stick and bottom feeder.

Speaking of the Sabalow kid, I heard there is a shortage of journalist in the middle east right now, There should be some openings there for him. LOL..
