Greetings from "tropical" southern Minnesota. This is how it looks today from our dining room window this afternoon! We have gone from 28 straight days of no rain in September to one of the coldest and the wettest October on record.:( So far in October, we have received 8 inches of snow.....unheard of even in southern Minnesota. Most crops are still in the field and with the opener of deer hunting only 2 weeks away, it looks to be an interesting hunt! I hate this global warming!!

I see you got the snow to stick at your place. We had the rain and snow all day but none of it stuck here. I know one thing for sure, with all this moisture this month the crops won't be out by the opener. They are saying more rain or snow next week, I can't wait .

We have been "lucky" enough to have the snow stick 4 days this month. It's only 61 days until Christmas!

I hear ya Ike....it has rained for 30 days and 30 nights up here north of you. Have seen several inches of snow that "stuck" and have had the January layer of clothes on to keep warm. Saw the sun yesterday probably the longest since September....about 1/2 the day in the afternoon. This morning is the FIRST time we have seen the sun rise in a month. I really really hate global warming!!!!

HaHa, I dont think girls here in Pa were wearing those thongs too much this summer billy Jo. We had one of the wettest coldest summers on record, I really really really hate global warming!!!

I hate to get started on global warming because it just makes me mad. If these global warming nuts were serious about the carbon emissions they would be heavily supporting the use of natural gas as the alternative fuel. Using natural gas would almost wipe out carbon emissions. The best thing is we have over a hundred years supply in reserves and it is all AMERICAN. Unfortunately if we make the switch the global warming nuts would lose their cause, therefore you will not see them push any alternative that would be viable. If we made the switch the middle east could go back to riding camels because we would not need their oil.

I recently visited Clam River Whitetails for a photography shoot. They have the most beautiful bucks I have seen anywhere. What a nice operation.

The Hospitality shown me this summer by the farms I have visited has been really super. I cant thank Curtis, Trent, Blaine, and Jarrod enough for the hospitality and friendship shown Carole and I.

We always make so many new friends

Deer farmers must be all special people, if what I have seen is any indication

I am in Minneapolis this week, I would love to visit other deer farms in Wis and Minnesota while I'm here in gods country

Snow is gone and the rain is back so the snow pictures are done at least for a few days. How many places can say they got 8" of rain and 8" of snow all in the same month!!
