Ivomec Plus ???

Lately on posts everyone keeps recommeding Ivomec Plus. My question is: What is the difference between Ivomec Plus and just Ivomec? I saw both on the shelf yesterday, and tried to figure out the difference from the labels.

Ivomec Plus read:

1% w/v ivermectin

10% w/v clorsulon in a sterile solution

. . . for use in cattle only

Ivomec read:

1% Sterile Solution

. . . for use in cattle, swine, reindeer and American bison only.

(This was confusing because according to everyone's recommendations of Ivomec Plus I expected something like this to be on Ivomec Plus' label.

I want what is best for my deer so I have held off buying yesterday cause I wanted imput from other deer farmers. Again, I was thrown off a bit by Ivomec's label recommending reindeer, bison and Ivomec Plus' label reading . . . for use in cattle only.

Wanting and waiting to buy what is best.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ivomec Plus also kills liver flukes. Good for cattle, not so much for dogs or other species. Check with you vet for the technical explination.

We haven't had much luck using any ivomec for the liver flukes in MN. The vet reccomended Valvazine(sp) and that works really well on this variety of liver flukes. We still use ivomec for your normal roundworms and such though.

Valbazine, and it is very good. I mix with feed. I use ivomec pour on as well in feed. I inject with ivomec plus or drench with Valbazine when running through the chute.
