Not sure how many folks on here know Jim, but he has been a Wisconsin deer farmer for probably at least 20 years. He is one of the founders of Whitetails of Wisconsin. A few years ago he finally got his Grandpa's Farm going in October with many activities for kids. He is currently in Mayo Clinic just having had heart surgery. After the surgery he suffered a stroke. Don't know the prognosis yet. his wife Denise is posting updates on caringbridge.org. Jim is one of the nicest and most caring guys you would ever want to meet.

The latest update is not encouraging. He is slipping into a coma and at that point they will focus on keeping him comfortable.

Attended the memorial service for Jim today. A fellow deerfarmer, **** Busha, spoke about how Jim got him into deer farming. When **** said it sounded expensive, Jim said it will pay for itself! We all thought that! Jim was a counselor at Lincoln Hills which is a youth detention center. He was also a foster parent. He truly cared about others. He realized his dream to have Grandpa's farm which was intended for kids to see how things used to be done on the farm. Over 6000 have visited it in a few years. Jim was only 63, way too soon to go. We will miss him!
