Lice?

I've got a 13 week old doe fawn that I'm pretty sure has/had lice. I've been using Durasect 4ml and then rotate to Livestock dust with permethrin. It seems when one area gets better and the hair grows back she scratches the hair off somewhere else. All shoulders forward. Ears finally have hair growing back on them but now her neck has alot of hair lose where she is scratching. Side of face under ears also. Any thoughts on using something else?

See if Cydectin pour-on is something that will work.

lana, this looks alot like what you described on your Rosa deer. What did you do for her?Looked at the Cydectin But it said cows only. Scared me off. I see you haveused it so it must be ok. Thanks

Cydectin for cattle is what Dr. Shipley DVM (a deer farmer) suggested that I use on my Rosa. He sent me 10 cc's of it and said to use half now, half later. Rosa weighs 200lbs+ and is 2.25 yrs old.

You might also send a PM to Scott Heinrich asking for his advice. I wil take a picture of Rosa tomorrow and post on here. If you've got a pic, please post it for our deer farmer experts to give their opinion. It may not be lice at all...
