I have a few questions regarding this product and am looking for those with first hand experience using it. I realize a post was created about this and its use on temperamental animals, but mine is more regarding effects to antler growth and recreation of bachelor groups.
  1. It is said that medroxy will decrease hormones for up to 6 months, has this noticeably affected antler growth for that season? Or potentially helped by causing both to drop at the same time.
  2. When is the best time to give?
  3. Once administered can bucks used for breeding be placed back together?
  4. What are negative side effects associated with its use? Positive?

Thanks for any thoughts

1.  Can't tell you  how long it will last in deer.  People up to 3 months, horses less than 21 days.  So I would assume it does not last 6 months.

2.  Best time to drop antlers is early January.

3.  I would wait a week to be safe, you will se a change in behavior in 2-3 days usually

4.  Have not noticed any negative effects, we have used it on about 15 last year. Positive, if you have one that doesnt like to shed both sides at the same time they will drop them pretty close to the same time within a handful of days.
