John, I wish you guys success with your sale. But don't over do the straws of semen. The market is flooded now. Do more dinners and subscriptions and such.

Here is what I would like to do to show my support of your sale and your drawing idea. I and Laurie will donate a 1 year Associate membership to W.O.W. (Whitetails Of Wisconsin).

You guys can include that in your drawing. Call me and let me know if you would like to except this and to arrange everything.

Is there 1 web page that we all can go to that would have all the shows listed, I did not know anything about this show and would have attended. Maybe someone out there knows how to find out about scheduled shows???

I got the sale book for this one.

But I wouldn't have known about the Buckeye show had they not asked me to be in it. (I'm not in it) I'm not even sure when that sale is, and have not gotten a book for it.

Roger, I am just the opposite, I got the sales book for the Buckeye auction but not the Mid American Classic. Oh well, next year I suppose but I feel a loss, I love these auction and meeting everyone and talking about my favorite subject, DEER of course!!!!

They changed the rules for the give aways. You have to buy on the internet to win. The very first post and the book say different. When I asked about it they told me "sue me". Was not treated very well.

I have been watching the sale and it does not seem like anybodys number they call are in the building or online.Where are the numbers coming from.I also see that there is a heck of alot of nosales! Once again its showing good animals will sell but the others not so good!

They say if they draw an number they assign as an internet bidder the last person who bought online will win the prize. Dan told me "he was too busy to keep track of who bids".

Sounds kinda messed up.Mabey after its over they can explain why they say any active bidder is eligable to win but now you have to make a purchase.Mabey its because the sales not doin so well!!

I watched most of the sale and it looked like they were having a hard time getting bids.some better deer brought decent money but i think some had to high of a reserve on their deer.I know most of us think our deer our worth good money(me included someday) and we spend good money on them but it seems now you better have a good name and good genitics or you gunna miss the bus.I saw bob at formost had chois doe fawn from timberjack, goliath over pj 400 over 400and that didnt make it to 1500.I guess thats not what people want in todays deer. oh snap mabey i missed the bus on that one!

I'll gladly pay about 10 times as much for all the 400 inch bucks you can bring me. I'll also give you 3-6 times as much for the 300's. I'll take a truckload of those nice 200 inch typicals but only give a fraction what I'll give for those high scorers. Have the big non-typical bucks dropped in price? Sure, way more than any other category! But the high scorers are still worth much more than the lower ones. As I've said before, Size DOES Matter! At least to me and my hunters! :)

When a buyer drives into your place and sees a big, pretty, wide 195 inch typical in a pen with a 280 inch non-typical. He'll say:

"I like that typical, he is easy to sell. That non-typical is a tough one. I'll give you $5000 for that typical (with a smile) but only $12,500 for the non-typical (with a frown), sorry about that".

Man I guess we should quit raising those non-typicals!

Hype is sometimes like a stampede of Buffalo. It can build up some pretty good steam, or it can run you over a cliff!

I know what they announced ahead of time about the giveaways, but I wondered right off how they would know who just "placed a bid" and who didn't.
